EJ Osborne is the new face of craft on BBC daytime, currently filming BBC’s ‘Money for Nothing’, now in its 5th series. His other credits include ‘Craft It Yourself’ on C4, appearing as their master woodcraftsman as well as ‘Celebrity Money For Nothing’ on BBC1. This year he also published his first book entitled ‘Hatchet + Bear: Spoon Carving’ and has been featured in publications including Country Living, The Times and the Observer.

EJ honed his knowledge on heritage crafts during his time studying Arboriculture at the Royal Forestry Society as well as Product & Furniture design at Kingston University from 2008 to 2011.

He is keen on the low tech approach, encouraging people to go back to basics by using hand tools, foraged wood and broken and discarded materials to create objects for adventure; doing so via his Woodland Workshops, where he takes small groups into the forest and teaches them how to use axes and knives to carve their own wooden spoons and utensils.

Previously he took this passion and knowledge to the Brighton Dome, giving a talk to a full house on the healing effects of whittling and making.

Aside from his growing TV career he also runs a successful online shop, boasting commissions from stores across the globe including London, Paris and Tokyo.
